Dr. Vishnu Raveendran is a trained urologist who specialises in the treatment of Benign Prostatic Enlargement (BPE), surgical and medical management of stone disease, urologic laparoscopy, robotic surgery, microscopic surgery for infertility and renal transplant surgery. He has more than 10 years of clinical experience in managing complex genitourinary diseases and teaching experience in surgery. He completed his MBBS from T D Medical College, Alappuzha. Later, he did his MS in General Surgery from JIPMER, Pondicherry. He obtained M.Ch. in Urology from Govt. Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram. He has also passed DNB in Urology conducted by the National Board of Examinations. He also received a fellowship in Urology from Fellow of Royal College of Surgeons, England. He has undergone extensive training related to various urological surgeries. He performs Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HoLEP), which is an advanced minimally invasive surgical procedure used to treat prostate disease. He is one of the most successful HoLEP surgeons, having performed more than 400 surgeries with excellent results. He is currently a leading surgeon in the field of laser endourology, providing treatment for voiding difficulty, bladder tumors and stone disease. Dr. Vishnu provides comprehensive treatment for stone disease. He performs minimally invasive procedures for kidney stones, including percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL), mini PCNL and Retrograde Intra Renal Surgery (RIRS) and Extra-corporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL). He has vast experience in performing laparoscopic transplant donor nephrectomy, reconstructive procedures and ablative procedures for cancers. He is equally well versed with robotic surgical procedures and is a certified surgeon for Da Vinci robotic surgical platforms. Dr. Vishnu has performed microscopic surgeries for infertility like mTESE and microscopic varicocele surgery with good results. He has vast experience of more than ten years in renal transplant surgery.
