Renai Medicity has introduced the first ever pneumatic system in Kerala. This Swedish technology based system ensures rapid transport of blood samples, IV fluids and medicines through a tube from the point of storage to the delivery place inside the hospital.
The system has left the manual system behind of carrying medicines, blood samples and other such items from one place to another place in the hospital. The automated system is swift, efficient and gives little chance of errors. Time is saved with the pneumatic tube system that shuttles the containers carrying blood or medication from blood banks or pharmacies to emergency rooms, operation theatres, ICUs and other locations.
The pneumatic tube system is a network of cylindrical containers that are channelled through compressed air or vacuum. The tube channel network is built behind the walls and is provided with openings wherever needed. Materials are transported at the touch of computer commands directing a tube to the particular location in the hospital network.
