Ninety percent of lung cancer cases are due to smoking. If no-one smoked, lung cancer would be a rare diagnosis.

Renai Medicity Hospital is a smoke-free facility. Smoking is not allowed on our premises, vehicles, at entrances or anywhere else in the hospital compound.

Smoking cigarettes is a dangerous habit that contributes to several health issues. Smoking is harmful to almost all of the organs in your body and contributes to the development of disease, disability and premature death. The dangerous particles in second hand smoke can linger in the air for hours or even longer. It isn’t just the smoke that’s a concern, though. The residue that clings to a smoker’s hair and clothing, as well as cushions, carpeting and other goods – sometimes referred to as third hand smoke – also can pose risks, especially for children. We are looking at ways to motivate and encourage people to quit tobacco. Similarly, the hospital policy strictly prohibits consumption of alcohol anywhere on the hospital premises.
