While accidents may happen anytime anywhere, we at Renai believe in plugging all the holes anticipating and pre-empting a situation that could endanger anyone in the hospital. Round the clock security guards deployed around the hospital premises ensure safety within the building and the hospital campus. The security personnel at the gates also screen the visitors into the hospital. The hospital is under constant CCTV surveillance that is regularly monitored.
Renai Medicity is fitted with all the necessary fire fighting equipment and is alert to all electrical hazards that can happen with adequate disaster management plans. The hospital also ensures the quality of water being used. Enough lighting is provided around and inside the hospital.
To control the movement of vehicles inside the hospital premises, speed breakers are placed. Staff and security personnel are well trained to control any emergency situation
All our members of staff wear an identity badge. If anyone without the badge interacts with the patient or the family on behalf of the hospital, the matter needs to be reported immediately or the security may be called.
When in the hospital, please do not accept help and assistance offered by strangers.
Taking care of Valuables
It is advisable to leave personal valuables and cash at home. If for any reason the patient or the family or bystander is carrying such valuables, it can be kept in the safe locker that the hospital provides. The hospital cannot be responsible for loss of valuables and cash from the room. Personal items such as eyeglasses, hearing aids and dentures can be stored at the bedside drawer.
Lost items
The hospital has a Lost and Found department where one can enquire about any personal item that has been lost. Lost items may be claimed by presenting identification and describing the lost article. Unclaimed items are kept for 30 days. Jewellery and other items of value will be kept for 90 days. Claims beyond this time will not be entertained.
Safety Drills
The hospital has fire and disaster drills regularly. We request our patients and visitors to kindly cooperate with us.
Preventing falls
It is important that the patients under treatment are safe from any fall. Skid free slippers will help when the patient is getting up. However, it is advisable that the patients do not try to do things on their own until the nurse tells the patient to do so.
